Research Introduction

In the present era, the unprecedentedly emergence of media and development of internet have changed the world into a global village. Especially during the last two decades in Afghanistan, the emergence of devices for public communication including media outlets and freedom of expression associated with numerous achievements, also paved the way to open doors in front of crimes. The necessity was felt to recognize media crimes through media related laws. Some articles are evident in Mass Media Law and the Afghan Penal Code that have imposed punishments for media.

Meanwhile, a number of media have paved the way to crimes through some inappropriate programs that effect on their audiences to commit on criminal acts. Conversely, different programs of mass media are appreciated by spreading meaningful messages and information, leads to reforms in society. In the paper, both aspects are focused on to explore scholarly.

The paper includes five chapters focusing on the role of the media in increasing and decreasing crime in Afghanistan. It expands the scope of the research through the media on how to fight crime and the relationship between the media and crimes. In this field, it will provide appropriate results and suggestions to media highlighting the need for useful programs and policies, thereby it is expected to bring wonderful transformations both in media and audiences to eliminate media crimes.
