Introduction to Research Museum of Ethnography

The museum is located in one of the historical buildings of Afghanistan. The building was designed during the kingdom of Amir Abdul Rahman Khan (1880-1901) by Afghan and foreign expert architectures and artists.

This historical building bears the name of Shah Bobo Jan, constructed with bricks and timbers based on the contemporary architectural style, typical of that ancient time.

This building overall contains 40 rooms, Saloons, corridors and washrooms.

The building walls are decorated with plaster and cement and have interesting ornaments and carving works that further increased the beauty of the building.

This palace was granted by former president of Afghanistan "Hamid Karzai" to ASA as "Museum of Ethnography" by the verdict No. 45-15, 11,1381 (2002).
