Importance of Chabahar and Gawadar Ports for the Region
Abstract
A Gwadar and Chabahar port in Pakistan and Iran closes the regional countries particularly India and China to Middle East’s energy. Furthermore; Chabahar port connects the India to Afghanistan and Central Asian markets. According to Geo political and Geo Economic perspectives, these ports are so important because of their strategic locations in the world. Given the competitive and divergent views of the countries in the region, including India-China and India-Pakistan against each other, the result of growth and development of these ports will increase rivalry in the region
