A Study of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan Relations (1991-2019)

1-Researcher: Professor Abdulrahim Bakhtani.

2- Aim of the Research: The aim of this research is to study the political, economic, cultural and military relations between the Russian Federation and Tajikistan.

3- Importance of Project: The Russian Federation has close ties with Tajikistan as compared to other Central Asian countries. However, Tajikistan is a neighbor of Afghanistan and has deep relations with Russia, so these relations need to be examined.

4. Research Questions: how were the relations between Russia and Tajikistan from 1991 to 2019?

5- Results of this project: With the completion of this scientific-research project, it will be clear that what kind of the relations between Russia and Tajikistan does have and what changes have taken place in the relations between the two countries from 1991 to 2019.

Furthermore, the completion of this project will result in an academic research regarding the relations between these two countries, which will be scientifically benefit  for those interested in international relations studies, universities professors, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and others.

6- Progress of project work: Approximately 60% of the project work is completed and the rest will be completed in the allotted time.
